María Elena Pazmiño PARTNER – Audit&Assurance

Commercial Engineer, graduated with honors from Universidad Católica del Ecuador, in Quito. Certified Public Accountant.

María Elena has the international nomination of CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) granted by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Global.

Her professional training is reinforced with many seminars and courses in diverse areas related to her profession in Ecuador, Argentina and Chile. She speaks English.

She began her professional career in 1989 in a Big 4 firm. Years later, she held the position of General Accountant in the Produbanco bank. After working for Grupo Financiero Popular, María Elena became partner of the firm in 1999 in the division of Audit & Assurance.

María Elena has had the opportunity of carrying a great number of financial audits, internal audits, tax audits, internal control assessments of companies and entities in diverse sectors.
